Some fun reading for coffee and cookie junkies - waldopancake.com

I Heart Pancakes

Coffee shops and restaurants should ALWAYS have pancakes on the menu, and not just plain pancakes, they should have options like they have options for everything else; with chocolate, maple syrup, fresh fruit, panna....all sorts. I have to admit I would double my rather small size if that were to happen. Anyway, thanks to Fresco in Sliema for understanding...the lunch was a treat..

Sky Life

One of the most funky kids I've met is Linni, she has a very similar character to Aiden and that would be lively and spiritual if I had to describe them. They're usually the ones that makes you pull your hair off in anger one minute and then makes you laugh with tears the next minute. There's no middle way and that's what I love.
This coming month, Linni will be seen on the cover of Sky Life magazine with a provocing What's up tee, very typical! Her mum, Anne, who is a great photographer will take part in the photo exhibition which you can read about in the magazine. Also, she has some beautiful photos on her blog - http://www.cloudberryimages.com/

Fig&Olive N.Y.C

I was just checking Kenzas MTV blog since I know she's in New York filming for The City and saw she had been filming at Fig&Olive. That is really a great restaurant, the food is amazing and so is the service. The only weird thing is that they close very early. For us, being used to the mediterranean way of dining, we sat down for the meal pretty much at the same time as the others were having their dessert and coffee. Didn't matter coz the food tasted super delicious, although I'm certain the staff felt like kicking us out. I so can't wait to visit the city again:)

Back to Ben & Jerry season

If there are any diet-rules this summer, excluding B&J is not one of them. www.benandjerrys.com
Strawberry Cheesecake is taking over from Cookie Dough...unless you can mix them ;)

Office Rules

Today I had a minor argument with one of my colleagues in the office, this happens a lot though, some people (and this one in particular) just wants to piss you off. They rarely have a valid reason, it's just the bitterness of these people (once again, this person especially) and they take it out on everyone else. The whole office goes cloudy as soon as they walk in. What is it, really? It can't be what they pretend to make a fuss about? Work related issues that can be fixed in a sec if you just think positive for one.
I just want to tell them.....erhmm... Get laid! Find a way to get rid of the bitterness.
The more you don't bother the more they get worked up, it becomes hilarious after a while.
Once I bought a skinny blueberry muffin from Starbucks on the way back from London for one of them, just to see if he could smile and be happy for a while..it worked but went back to normal after a day. Probably thought 'skinny' was indicating something...offensive.

Maybe some colorful stuff from 'Ordning&Reda' would help? :)
Some office supply that would make my desk happier at least x

Coffee bean confusion

That project I wrote about some time ago, about finding a name for the new coffee shop; still nothing! How hard can it be?!
Something that brings your mind to Sweden...and coffee!
I always dreamt about having my own shop one day and the name would be the easy part, and now I can't even think of a name for my friends coffee shop! I guess once they open and find a name that relates to Sweden but can be pronounced by Maltese and relates to coffee and sounds perfect for the location and all...Then I'll think of something...most likely. Anyone? Anything? Fika?

VANS

This is a bit of a surf style label (surf style...something I so don't like normally) but I thought some of the stuff was really funky. UrbanCulture has this brand in Malta but a lot more on the site http://www.vans.com/

Forgotten gals

There is this really annoying thing about mothers (relatively new ones) They used to be fun girls who could talk about anything and anyone but as soon as they have children...boom. All of a sudden it's all they talk about and all they do. I've noticed this alot lately, when mothers get together it's one thing, and when non-mothers meet..well..another story. My point is that I would love not to have to split my friends in these two categories. Why do they change their style, their interests and mostly, why is there nothing else to talk about once there are kids in their lives. It's very very boring. This is probably why some girls hesitate to have a baby. Coz they think the fun stops. I really don't see why it would? I would never forget myself and my own needs and give up everything because you have children. My son is my everything and one of my favourite things to do is to go alone with him for coffee and ice cream and I'm 100% with him. But I also love doing all the other things I used to love before I had him, and I dress the same, talk just the same (That's another thing, I don't like to watch my language or behave in a way that suits kids, my son watches Prison Break with us, listens to reggaeton and still obviously knows everything about Lightning McQueen) How is it possible to forget the make up? Why is there always an excuse for not having enough time for yourself? Go to a spa, get drunk with a friend, go for dinners...You'll still have plenty and plenty of quality time with your child, which is for sure real fun. And last thing; sometimes kids do extremely funny things and you tell others about it....sometimes they do things that are only fun for the parent...so sense the difference..

Kendras spin off

This will be hilarious. Her very own show with her trying to make it on her own outside the Playboy Mansion. A spin off is usually not as successful as the original, but this will be just Kendra! How could that go wrong? It'll start in June so I'll prepare my ears for now coz her laughter is killing me :=)

Still feeling sick, possibly worse

Easter Sunday Fever

Im so disappointed, I ended up with high fever in the middle of the night last night, after the party. My bones were aching like mad and I slept like a baby as soon as I got home. My 'bird dress', gladiator shoes and the rest of me did not look too well on pics because I was feeling so sick :( The dress is from H&M and I got another one in black, they're perfect for both partys and beach. Although beach seems far away now, even in Malta, the wind never seem to stop...

Enjoy the rest of Easter :)

Decleor date

So, 2 hrs of full body massage and facial, long lunch and some very small shopping left me drained out, I wanted to feel super high on all the energy I was meant to have.
Surely, a black coffee and I'll be ok for tonight.
This stuff is great though, the oils especially. My skin is beyond dry in winter so she nearly had to pour a bucket of oil all over. Neroli is my favourite, the bottle is tiny and pricy and meant to last up to 2 years if you use it as you should. Mine though...lasts about 6 months tops.

Ed Hardy

I was lucky to find my Ed Hardy sneakers on half off but the ones I really wanted were the ones with heels. Didn't have my size of course but better luck next time. They're real cute. It's probably for the best. I don't want to compete with the other mummy's at Aidens school in 'Who has the highest heels this morning' or 'Did I put on less make up then you did panic attack'
I´ll wear my sneakers..it's more safe. And when I do find my size of the heels I'll wear them for a night out (although that's not safe either, they're really high)
Anyway, try this site, they have it all. Just have to decide. And live somewhere outside Malta (the forgotten country for shipping)

Victoria's Beauty Rush

I'm aware it's just a lipgloss and I know the difference between like and love but I do love this Beauty Rush lipgloss. In Malta you don't have too many options for shopping so you have to be quick when you pass Heathrow or US (which is pretty much where you'll find them) I usually rely on Therese who goes to London sometimes (alot) and last time in NYC I stocked up like hell! :) Quite cheap aswell, compared to crappier version Juicy Tubes Lancome.

Very inspiring book about travelling, relationships and spirituality

My colleague recommended this book to me and I usually don't bother about reading other peoples favourite books or seeing their favourite films etc but I liked this cover to begin with :) and bought it when I was in NY (couldnt find it in Malta or UK) and I really like it. Maybe because it's a true story or becuase she makes you want to travel more then ever and makes you want to eat good food and learn new languages (that reminds me...what happened to my spanish lessons..) When I asked for it in Malta she said "Eat Pray Love? Then it's a religious book and if it's not over there we don't have it" Ok then, thanks soo much for your help and sorry for wasting your precious time. It's not just about religion dumb ass. But anyway. I found it myself. Much later. With the other bestsellers.

Chooka Boots

Coolest rain boots ever! You'll wear them even in the sun because they feel fancy (or that might just be me) Both indoor and outdoor stuff, and for kids too :) Mine are called Peace Love
